The Horadric Cube helps out later on in the game with toting stuff around. Regarding special items, I like to save them as much as possible. wielding a weapon that's as large as she is, but I can get like 5 attacks per second off and do really good damage too! If you just go to all the extra dungeons and kill all the champs and named enemies, you'll find lots of stuff worth keeping.
Although I'm now in Nightmare, I managed to get all this stuff in normal.
